Bottom Fishing – Flipper II
Bottom Fishing is fantastic fun for both experienced anglers and novices alike. Its also great fun for families and children will love hooking up to some of amazing coloured species that can be found in the shallower waters around the island both inshore and those found out on the plateau’s in deeper water.
We fish for these species in a variety of ways. Popping, Jigging, Spinning and fishing with live and dead baits. If the tide allows within the duration of your trip we will aim to catch the live baits before heading to the fishing grounds.
Departure time can vary for these trips and we like to choose the best part of the tide in order to maximise the catch. We will inform you about the departure time in advance of your booking.
You can expect to catch a good variety of species and of many different sizes. When fishing for some of the smaller species there is always a chance that a larger predator will find your lure or bait first giving a thrilling, unexpected bend to your rod.
Species you are likely to catch whilst bottom fishing include Trigger Fish, Snapper, Pargo, Blue Fish, Yellow tail, Grouper, Bream, Puffer Fish and many many more.
What to expect on the day.
You can expect to be welcomed by British captain and crew, both of whom have many years of experience both here on the island and back in the UK.
All bait and lures are supplied but you are more than welcome to bring and try your own favoured lures.
You will be given a short safety briefing and tour of the boat before we leave the marina
Your comfort and safely are of paramount importance to us so we ensure you are happy and answer any questions you may have.
For those new to fishing we are on deck all day long to help you.
Lunch and a selection of drinks will be provided for all full day trips.
You many take any fish you catch for consumption. Fish you do not want which have not been released will be donated to local people. IT IS FORBIDDEN FOR ANY FISH TO BE SOLD FOR PROFIT.

OMG the best 4 days Marlin fishing ever. My mate caught a 600lb Blue Marlin on day 1. We had 2 rises on day 2 and I hooked into a 800lb Marlin but it unfortunately charged the boat and spat the lure.
